FAQs:
How exactly does Photo Rejuvenation LED therapy work?
LED Photo Rejuvenation Therapy is a form of photo-therapy which involves the application of low power mono-chromatic and non-coherent light to injuries and lesions to stimulate healing.
Light Therapy stimulates the skin's fibroblast to produce collagen and elastin proteins. Unlike laser technology that relies on high-powered coherent light to create heat energy, LED therapy triggers the body to convert light energy into cell energy without thermal injury to tissues.
Are there any other benefits from Photo Rejuvenation therapy?
Yes, Photo Rejuvenation therapy increases blood circulation and oxygenation thus hydrating the skins surface. When new cells come to the surface it repairs sun damage, age spots, pore size and helps calm rosacea. (There is no known cure for rosacea)

There are many theories, most attributed to Europe. Here in the USA, the science of light therapy has been practiced for over 30 years. Listen to what some experts have to say:
Dermatology Times
July 2000 - "New collagen forms in the skin, which gives it a smoother texture: pores appear smaller, fine lines and wrinkles are decreased; the skin has a greater elasticity and the improvement begins after the first treatment".
March 2001 - "In my experience, photo rejuvenation works much better than many of the other non-abrasive laser treatments of the skin", Dr. Lefkovits said, "we have had tremendous success".
March 2001 - "Medicine has yet to find a way to turn back time, but Photo Rejuvenation makes it easier to look younger in no time at all! Called Photo Rejuvenation, it is one of the hottest topics in the field of skin care. That is because the procedure can help improve the appearance of aging or sun damaged skin through a series of 4 to 6 treatments lasting 20 to 30 minutes each, and requires practically no downtime. Patients may notice results after the first treatment" says Dr. Jeffrey Dover.
ABC Television
June 27, 2001 - "Dermatologists believe that a process called Photo Rejuvenation can smooth away wrinkles, ease brown spots and even help relieve symptoms of rosacea. It is a non-invasive procedure that uses pulse light to rejuvenate the skin".
My personal recommendation on how to use the machine, this is just a recommendation and what has worked best for me over the years.
1) Use a good facial cleaner/scrub/mask prior to use (or Glycolic Peel or Microdermabrasion treatments.) Which ever you choose make sure the skin is dry and clean before doing your treatments.
2) Use the machine on lower levels to begin with, so for you I would start at the 2-3rd lowest settings on both sides if it is for your face, and go up each treatment up a level, (For Four Pulse Kenetic machine Make sure you put the dial on R/B/Y Red,Blue or Yellow Lights) it will take you 6 weeks to reach the max settings.(up to 2 minutes per spot till all areas of the face is covered, I also do my neck use a cloth around the wand for the neck area, also do the chest area (tanning issues) and also my hurting elbows) Takes me approx 1 hour every 2 weeks
3) 1-2 minute per spot on your face, I have only used the large wand, its not ok to use by the eyes, use the small wand and work closely around the eyes, works great around fine lines around the eyes and upper lips. Please use caution in this area and carefully read the manual. Suggested that the small wand only because of the blue lights on the larger wand.
4) Takes me about 15-20 minutes for the Four Pulse Machine , I will do my neck/chest area for 30 minutes then I do my knee's and elbows (chronic pain I use the higher setting (4 on the left 16 on the right hand side) Red Only for a couple minutes,
5) You will feel results in the first treatments (skin very soft and glowing and tightens but no downtime or pain whatsoever) but you will see visible results immediately and by the 3 treatment and after you will see some real and visible results, just do a treatment every 7-10 days thereafter on the highest setting.
6) I also take 2 collegan vitamins a day and also after the treatment use a good anti-wrinkle cream or I put on collagen cream (can be found on the site as well)
7) The only persons that should not use the machine is people with epilepsy and those that are using steroids for acne issues (discontinue the use of the 2 days prior to use of the machine) and pregnant women can use it but not by the fetus obviously.
There you go, if you follow these steps you will be very happy with this machine, do not take treatments more then once a week it will hinder the progress of the skin rejuvenation process. Any other questions feel free to call or email me I will be glad to answer any other questions you may have.
